How to pay FoondaMate from the Nedbank App
Add FoondaMate as a recipient
Start by signing in to your Nedbank App, and pressing “Recipients”. Then add a new recipient, and fill out the FoondaMate bank details.

Bank: Capitec Business — Please select ‘Capitec Business’ not just ‘Capitec Bank’
Recipient reference: Add your WhatsApp number as the recipient reference
Pay for your FoondaMate Plan
Once you’ve added the FoondaMate account as a recipient, select transact at the bottom of the screen. Then select the “Pay” option, and then the “Single Payment” option and choose FoondaMate from your saved recipients.
Add your WhatsApp number as the recipient’s reference. Once you’ve done this, enter the amount and click on the “Pay” button.
Use your WhatsApp number as the recipient’s reference
Make sure you use the same WhatsApp number that you use when you chat with FoondaMate as the recipient’s reference.
If you do this, your FoondaMate Plan will be activated as soon as you pay so you can get back to studying ASAP.
If you forgot to use your WhatsApp number as the recipient’s reference, send an email to the FoondaMate team on [email protected] with your proof of payment.
Getting your proof of payment on the Nedbank App
You can get your proof of payment on the Nedbank App simply by selecting “Recipients”, choosing FoondaMate and clicking into “History”. Then take a screenshot of the payment and send it to FoondaMate Customer Support.
If you can’t take a screenshot of the proof of payment, press “Share proof of payment” and send it yourself via email.
You can save it on your phone and send it via email to the FoondaMate team on [email protected] so they can activate your FoondaMate Plan.
Which other banks can I pay from?
You can use Capitec, TymeBank, or any other bank account to pay for your FoondaMate Plan.
